The benefits of working with PVC are numerous. PVC is easily sterilized, and is very safe, with a high chemical stability. PVC is very flexible, stress-resistant and durable. Above all, it is relatively low cost.
PVC is commonly used to make everyday items such as shoes, cup holders, key chains, bottle openers, fridge magnets and other items that require lightweight reliability that is easy to work with.
If you are looking to create PVC products for yourself, then I will outline in this blog the process, the materials and the machines you will need, from start to finish!
The process can be requires three main things, which I will cover one by one:
- Mold
- Material
- Machines
Step 1: Making a Mold to Produce PVC Products
The first thing you will need to do is to create a mold using copper or aluminium (aluminium being the most popular choice). This is what you will use to shape the PVC.
There are two ways to do this. The fastest way is to work with a mold production company to create your mold for you. This is a good method for smaller companies, but will work out more expensive per mold.
The second way is to purchase the ZY-P01C CNC Engraving Machine from ZhenYing Machines. This is a great long term investment for companies wishing to save time and money. Keeping production in-house and retaining control over the production process. Single molds can be used to create several products, and molds are usually kept to within 20cm x 30cm.
Clean Your Mold Before Production
Ensuring you are working with a clean mold is essential before beginning production of your PVC products. Make sure to polish and apply an atomization treatment to the mold, to remove small grains and residual coloring and make sure the mold is smooth before production.
We recommend using the ZY-G02 Sand Blasting Machine for maximum results during this process.
Step 2: The Materials You Need to Create PVC Products
There are five ingredients you need to create your PVC products and labels. You must simply assemble them, and mix them together using the ZY-G01 Mixing Machine. We supply all the materials you need, click here to view our products.
You will need:
- PVC Powder
- DINP Oil
- Material Stabilizer
- Antioxidant
- Soy Bean Oil
You will need to mix them in the following ratios (based on a total output of 182kg PVC Material):
- PVC Powder: 100kg
- DINP Oil: 75kg
- Material Stabilizer: 3kg
- Antioxidant: 2kg
- Soy Bean Oil: 1-2kg
After mixing the ingredients together, you need to remove the excess air from the mixture, using the ZY-G02 Vacuum Machine.

Step 3: Required Machines and Process to Create PVC Products
First, we need to use the ZY-P08D Automatic Dripping Machine to fill the color and detail parts of the PVC label, such as the logo, text and images.
Next, we use the ZY-P01S Double-deck Energy Saving Shaping Oven to allow the color and detail parts of the PVC Label to change from liquid to solid.
The ZY-P01L Cooling Table is then used to further cool the mold. This reduces time and improves quality of the PVC products.
Now we need to fill out the base level (the main body) of the PVC product we are creating. You can either use a bottle and fill out the liquid PVC base material by hand, or use the ZY-P01D Automatic Base Material Dripping Machine – using the machine is more efficient and has higher precision than doing the task by hand.
We now go back to the Energy Saving Shaping Oven to allow the base material to form into a hardened PVC, then the Cooling Table to speed up the process.
Note: If you are making double-sided PVC products, such as USB / Flash Drive covers, you will also need to use a heat embossing machine and a double stack mold.
